Byasanagar is a municipality town in Jajapur District of Odisha state. According to 2011 census Byasanagar had a population of approximately 237,609 people. It is located very near to Kalinganagar Industrial town, which today is one of the most important industrial towns of Odisha. Proximity to such an important industrial city has certainly augured well for economic development of Byasanagar city. From headquarter city of Jajapur Byasanagar town is located some 44 kms away.

Transportation in Byasanagar

Almost all important public transportation facilities are very easily to people of Byasanagar. Be it auto rickshaws for local traveling, or be it train/ bus services for traveling to other parts of Odisha and India. Therefore traveling anywhere is no problem at all for Byasanagar’s citizens. Speaking specifically about connectivity, then innumerable daily state run buses are available to towns like Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Besides, presence of hordes of private tour operators across the town is equally a huge boon for Byasanagar’s commuters. As far as connectivity via train service is concerned, then Jajpur Keonjhar Railway Station and Bhadrak Railway Station are located with in good proximity. Both these railway stations connect Byasanagar to not only all important cities of Odisha, but to many important cities located in far across India.

Byasanagar town really has shortage of banks. Currently just one or two reputed banks are operating their branches here. However, decent presence of reputed banks in many adjoining towns offers much needed respite to Byasanagar’s citizens. These adjoining towns mainly includes Bhadrak, Kalinganagar and and Jajapur.
